Finger licking BBQ chicken


This recipe will have your friends and family praising you!!

You can use white and dark meat! I used dark meat because that’s what I had in the refrigerator!

As usual, wash meat and trim off skin and excess fat!.  Place in a pot and add water to cover meat.  Add lemons, onions, garlic, ginger, salt and pepper to the pot and allow meat to simmer for 25mins.  Do not turn or stir.  While the meat is simmering, fire up your grill and start preparing your BBQ sauce.

Here’s where it gets sticky lol…add your favorite BBQ sauce, ketchup, cinnamon and brown sugar.  Allow to simmer while the chicken is simmering.  Taste and arrange the flavors to your liking!….No rules…

Remove chicken from pot and place on grill.  Turn after 15mins.  After both sides are charred, dip chicken in BBQ sauce and place on grill and repeat the same process.  Keep the remaining sauce for serving.
