You can use white and dark meat! I used dark meat because that’s what I had in the refrigerator!
As usual, wash meat and trim off skin and excess fat!. Â Place in a pot and add water to cover meat. Â Add lemons, onions, garlic, ginger, salt and pepper to the pot and allow meat to simmer for 25mins. Â Do not turn or stir. Â While the meat is simmering, fire up your grill and start preparing your BBQ sauce.
Here’s where it gets sticky lol…add your favorite BBQ sauce, ketchup, cinnamon and brown sugar. Â Allow to simmer while the chicken is simmering. Â Taste and arrange the flavors to your liking!….No rules…
Remove chicken from pot and place on grill. Â Turn after 15mins. Â After both sides are charred, dip chicken in BBQ sauce and place on grill and repeat the same process. Â Keep the remaining sauce for serving.
